The Royal Belgium Golf Club, also known as Ravenstein, is one of the most stunning, historic and, of course, exclusive courses in Belgium. Dimitri is therefore honoured to be acting as a consultant and architect alongside Groenservice for its bunker renovation programme which incorporates most of the front 9 holes. Work has started and is in progress.

Diamond Golf's last newsletter brought you news about the ambitious plans for Cleydael Golf and Country Club. A complete bunker renovation programme has now been completed at the 18 hole championship course, having started at the beginning of August. Of a total 67 bunkers, 6 are to close, 5 new ones will be created and those remaining will undergo serious refurbishment.

Dimitri worked with GolfTech on Cleydael; their brief on this project to allow all bunkers, both inside and out, to be maintained by machinery. This creates more of an American style of bunker with distinctive soft, round curves.

Some things just work well, and that's certainly the case for Dimitri and esteemed golf architect, Steve Marnoch. Dimitri has joined forces with Steve again, this time reshaping the fairways and greens of Antwerp International Golf & Country Club in Rinkven which has been a great success.

Dimitri has also acted as consultant for Steve on the Heelsumse Veld course in the Netherlands to create a new style of bunkering in the Benelux region- read more in the next newsletter!

Dimitri began work on his first par three course earlier this month! Working with Only Golf, the course at Drongen will feature synthetic greens and tees.
